The Quest to Open a New Restaurant

While writing for this blog, I have been occupied for the last six months building and opening another new restaurant. The economy, reduced consumer spending at restaurants and increasing food prices has been on my mind like a cheap neon flashing OPEN sign at a rundown motel. Each decision brought that sign glaring, blasting into the thought process. It’s still there; even after opening and over two weeks of daily operations.

The journey to open a new restaurant was captured on another blog called Starting a Restaurant Blog. The daily challenges, nightmares, construction woes and regulatory nuisances were captured as they happened. For those who come to this blog to find content that will help them get from start to finish in their own challenge to defy common sense and open a restaurant business right now, you can commiserate as I went through the daily steps.

Eventually, we may turn Starting a Restaurant Blog into another book. For now, it continues as we implement our marketing plan and tweak every aspect of the customer experience. The blog, coupled with The Restaurant Ebook
is all anyone would need to open a restaurant, café, lounge or foodservice operation.
